Illustrating the Revolution and the Syrian War

The fifth production by Creative Memory of the Syrian Revolution

Based on our daily updated archives, we reproduce in this sub-project a chronology of 395 events and dates that have changed, influenced and marked the Syrian revolution and war, starting from the beginning of the peaceful uprising, passing by its militarization and its consequences, until the end of 2019.

Primarily, we are well aware of the danger of the “victor’s” narrative. The “victor”, who now works more than ever to “occupy” the land of the memory and impose his unilateral version of events.

We are also motivated by the desire to stand in the face of fast, superficial and ambiguous information that leave the readers in place, inactive, with no desire to know more.
