Amargie works on supporting its member-artists (including the detention survivors) in terms of communicating their works to a larges audience – online and face to face – and issuing statements condemning the arrest of artists, and what follows of psychological, physical and moral intimidation. The group reaches out to media within the efforts of making it a public opinion matter and pressing the Syrian government to release the detained artists. In addition, it supports prisoners of conscience in particular and detainees in general by following up on their news and networking with other groups and pages.

The Bridges of Truth project is the result of the collaborative efforts of nine civil society organizations. It aims at raising awareness about the plight of Syrian victims and inspiring action to promote their rights and holistic justice for the crimes they have experienced.

Its goal is to document gross violations of human rights, collect evidence, and shed light on the human rights situation in Syria, especially detainees. By prosecuting perpetrators, the organisation help families to identify their relatives through photos of victims and hand them over to families.

Caesar File’s Group provides legal advice and support to prisoners of conscience and their families by helping them access information related to the fate of their loved ones and assists in filing cases before the competent courts. It publishes photos and documents of forcibly disappeared persons in the Syrian government’s prisons, and holds exhibitions of photos of torture victims in the detention centers of the Syrian security branches, which were leaked by Caesar.
“Caesar” is the pseudonym of a former photographer in the Syrian government’s military police, who defected in 2013. He smuggled 55,000 photos showing the torture and abuse that take place in detention centers.

We are a group of families that have lost loved ones under torture, the victims of forced disappearance in the Syrian regime’s prisons. We identified our relatives in the Ceasar photos which were leaked from the Syrian regime detention centres. We’ve been working together since February 2018 in Berlin to establish the Caesars Families Association (CFA). CFA aims to unify our voices, demanding the truth, justice, and restitution for the victims of torture and forced disappearance in Syria.

It participates in protests and vigils on special occasions such as the International Day of Enforced Disappearances, and organizes solidarity campaigns, such as Freedom Bus. For Justice is a campaign launched in collaboration with the Institute for War and Peace and The Day After. It holds a series of online discussions on topics of detention in Syria, such as: the role of the media in supporting the detainees cause, human rights documentation from a gender-based perspective, international mobilization for the detainees cause, life inside Syrian prisons, and female detainees in the imagination of Syrian novelists. The campaign also publishes statistics from human rights reports about the challenges faced after being released, the violations inside detention centers, and accountability mechanisms. It also publishes testimonies and experiences of survivors.
